Primatial Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Adalbert – Esztergom
The Primatial Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Adalbert, also known as the Esztergom Basilica, was planned in the early 19th century by a team of architects including Pál Kühnel, János Packh, József Hild and József Lippert and was finally completed in 1869. It is an architectural and religious ornament of Hungary.
Kima Studio started to develop the renovation plans of the basilica featuring Classical as well as ancient Egyptian elements in 2017, as requested by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Esztergom–Budapest.
Thanks to the state grants awarded in Government Decrees No. EGYH-KCP-16-P-0098 and No. 1756/2018. (XII. 20.), the building receives a complete renovation based on an overall diagnostic study and investment plan, which are meant to be completed in 2023.
Further information on the schedule and progress of the renovation can be found on the website of the Basilica:

The dimensions, historical importance and structural complexity of the basilica pose many challenges even separately, but taken together, these factors result in a daunting task for our technical project management team, a task that cannot be completed without high-level precision and expertise.
